How / Why did Sparks learn sign language?
This is an ask that was actually sent to me a really long time ago. I doubt whoever asked it is still interested but I’m sorry I haven’t responded until now anyways. This is actually in her bio, but I will recap. Sparks is not hard of hearing but she’s always had a large craving for knowledge in a fruitless effort in getting her parents attentions. While in school she put herself through multiple classes, mainly language courses. So outside of knowing English she has learned and is fluent in Spanish, French and American Sign Language. She’s not perfect in anyway, and has a distinct american accent, but she can understand and communicate efficiently. In all her verses (BESIDES RE), before the apocalypses, she worked as a flight attendant trying to save up for her education. The foreign languages she knew helped her get the job and they flourished during her time.
After everything fell she didn’t have much opportunities to use her Spanish and French anymore. Her ASL on the other hand has come in handy many times, and she’s tried to teach it to groups she’s been in to avoid being heard my whatever monsters lurk about.
Specifically in my TWD, Z Nation, and Quiet Place verses she uses it the most.
I would LOVE to interact with more muses with anything regarding ASL.
Especially a Connie, Daryl, (TWD) or 10k (Z nation) muse.
