It didn’t take long to find a nice spot on the edge of the creek, and Evan was quick to start setting camp. He trimmed limbs and tucked his tent into a nice spot between two large pine trees. He then moved to start working on a fire pit, so he could start a fire safely.
“So sparks? Why do you even hang around with folks like that? I mean you’re way to pretty for any of those assholes.” His word were honest as he took in her figure against the rustic backdrop.
Sparks watched Evan work, The man worked too quickly for Sparks to help. She watched awkwardly placing her hands in her shorts. Mostly, she watched him work, but then felt odd doing so. Her eyes moved away and kept watch for any stray walkers. Eventually finding her gaze on the creek which looked beautiful with the ending sun in its waters. She almost wished they could immerse themselves in the water but her fear of submerged walkers would trump her need for clean skin.

She was surprised when Evan spoke but she turned to him.
“Well it’s not like I have much choice.” She smiled, glad to have the evening light to hide her blush.
“It’s hard to find people to team up with… I’d rather be safe and protected rather than alone.
