Hell hath no fury like a Sparks scorned..

beaniesandmachetes:

Nothing in that moment mattered but making sure that Sparks was okay and that she wasn’t hurt. Anything else around them took a back seat as he looked her over because it almost hadn’t seemed real to see her again. The forest had grown so quiet that even the crickets had stopped chirping and Jake wondered if that was a good or bad sign. It didn’t matter because he would take that moment and relish the fact that he had her back.

It was odd that people didn’t realize what they had until it was gone. Loss was an eye opener to feelings that Jake didn’t know he had. Sparks had merely been a comrade, but losing her made it real. The feelings had been there all along, but Jake just never knew they existed to the extent they did.

The feeling of needing someone had been a sensation Jacoby hadn’t felt in such a long time. It almost seemed a world away that he had felt anything so strong. There had been plenty of loss, but not since Cambria had he thought he could feel longing and want again. He had missed Sparks in her absence and that feeling in itself was foreign. Anyone that came around him Jacoby never let himself get close to, but it had proven difficult to stay that way with Sparks. She was just so warm and caring that it had been damn near impossible to stay distant from her.

Taking a deep breath in, Jake tried to memorize her scent as he stared into her gorgeous eyes with his own emerald hues. Was she searching for approval? If she was then she had it; Jacoby hadn’t felt anything like that in ages. The kiss made his breath hitch and his heart skip a beat. Even though she seemed to enjoy it Jacoby couldn’t help himself. “I’m sorry. I just…I missed you. I didn’t mean to overstep…” His hands were still on her cheek as he kept his eyes on hers wondering if it was alright to kiss her again. Her lips were addicting.

Sparks smiled, looking down at the grounds a bit embarrassed. She didn’t know why, but it was the type of embarrassment that warmed up her insides.

“I can tell that you missed me.” She looked back at him with an evident smile. Though his face looked a little distressed.

“No, no. Don’t frown. We’re happy.” She grabbed his cheeks, and pulled them up uselessly. Spars sighed a bit “You didn’t overstep any boundaries. I hardly have any really.” Sparks was blabbing now, running her hands through his long hair. “And they would never be you kissing me.”

Sparks smiled soon fell, “Unless then again I’m a bad kisser… It’s just been a long while!”

Her foolish hands fell into her legs, away from Jake’s hair. They fumbled together.

“I mean, just let me practice I swear I’ll get better.”

In an instant she realized what she was implying and her hands jumped to her face.

“Oh my gosh what am I saying?!” Sparks started laughing into her face feeling incredibly foolish. “Oh my god Jake.”
