He eyed her a moment, deciding whether or not he believed her. Carol had done a good enough job of reminding him that he needed to bathe - and he hated it. But now that others were seeming to notice his hygienic practices weren’t exactly up to par meant something else entirely.
Carol was going to have a field day with this.
“Did it work?” he asked almost sheepishly, knowing now the he definitely needed to shower.
Sparks was holding her breath unsure as to what Daryl could be thinking. She wasn’t sure if he’d blow up at her, or let her be. The tension was almost palatable. She exhaled as the moment passed them. Guiltily, she hoped he didn’t notice her anxiety.
“Actually it did work,” She said with a smile as she remembered Hersh reluctantly running off to do his showering duties. “I’m sorry I had to put your reputation on the line though Daryl, should have let you know in advance.”
