“Maybe you just gotta find someone.” He shrugged, wishing nothing but better for her. “You can talk to me if you wanted. Which might seem weird considering we just met."
A fellow yawn left him, “Yeah doesn’t mean life is fair.” He laid down, putting an arm over his face. A heavier sigh left him. “Seems like everyone’s willing to do whatever to survive.”
That made living, if that’s what you could call that, worth a little more time.
"Get some rest. You sound exhausted."
"Nah, it’s not weird at all.” She smiled at him. “Two people trying to connect in a vacant world don’t sound weird to me at all.”
Sparks was glad her and Alex were connecting. He’d had such a hard shell hours ago when they’d first met, but somehow she’d managed to slip under that. She watched him lie down, and wondered if he was just speaking for himself.
“Do I? Am I starting to bore you?” She joked, as she followed suit. Her eyes now watching the dark sky. Her eyelids were growing heavy, and their yawns were infectious.
“You’re right, sleep sounds amazing right now. I’ll tell you all about my life tomorrow morning."
Sparks grinned as she closed her eyes.
