Madsen LAR

The Madsen LAR is a Danish produced automatic rifle based around the Valmet M62(proprietary AK variant) and the enigmatic GRAM 63 prototype. Initially chambered in 7.62x39mm to be considered by the Finnish Army, it was later redesigned around the venerable 7.62x51mm NATO. The LAR M/62 is a gas-operated select-fire rifle with a rotating bolt. In 7.62 NATO. It feeds from 20rd and 30rd box magazines, according to the caliber. The receiver is made from a strong aluminum alloy and has a detachable fire control group. Stock variants include solid wood, fixed tubular, and steel collapsible.
